Dr. Bowen is a Board-Certified Sports Medicine Physician specializing in non-surgical and regenerative medicine. The Mobile native comes by his understanding of athletic injuries naturally, as a former baseball player for the University of Mobile Rams. He is a vital part of Gulf Ortho’s Sports Medicine Program, working with athletes across South Alabama high school and college programs along with everyday weekend warriors. Dr. Bowen specializes in non-operative care such as diagnosis of injury, rehabilitation, and manual therapy techniques. Common treatment includes sports concussions, nonsurgical fractures, arthritis, tendinitis, and other musculoskeletal ailments. He leads Gulf Ortho’s leading edge Regenerative Medicine care, or orthobiologics. This innovative treatment uses natural substances, or biologics, from one’s own body to increase function and reduce pain associated with arthritis, damaged cartilage, tendon, and ligament issues.
