Dr. Terral is a Board-Certified and Fellowship Trained Orthopaedic Surgeon, with more than 30 years’ experience in joint care and replacement along with all varieties of musculoskeletal injuries. He specializes in joint replacement as well as complex revision surgery to correct failed or painful joint replacements. In this capacity, he has also served as an educator of orthopaedic residents both as an assistant professor for the University of Mississippi Medical Center, and as a clinical instructor for the University of South Alabama. In 2018, Dr. Terral performed the first Mako robotic-guided joint replacement surgery in Baldwin County and has been an innovator in leading-edge technology and approaches to orthopaedic care. In 2004, he joined the physicians of Bayside Orthopaedic Sports Medicine & Rehab, which merged with Gulf Ortho in 2023.

Dr. Terral’s heart for healthcare extends well beyond our Gulf Coast area. He is a board member of Bayside Medical Missions, the surgical ministry created in 1977 by Bayside Orthopaedic’s founding surgeon.  Today the foundation includes a surgical hospital in Ecuador, where Dr. Terral travels yearly along with other area volunteers to perform reconstructive procedures. He and wife Lori are parents to four grown children and have two wonderful grandchildren.
