Dr. Granberry is a Board-Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon, and a longtime leader in the treatment of the hip and knee along the Gulf Coast. He specializes in patients with arthritis and bursitis of the hip and knee, meniscal tears, and avascular necrosis of the hip.  Dr.  Granberry is a pioneer in Direct Anterior Total Hip Replacement and brought the technique to Mobile some 15 years ago. The surgery is regarded as one of the most successful in restoring the hip joint’s full function with less discomfort and a much shorter recovery time.  He has served as principal investigator in more than 40 industry-sponsored clinical trials since 2003. Although his primary focus is adult reconstruction, specializing in Total Knee and Hip Replacement surgery, Dr. Granberry treats a wide variety of orthopaedic problems.

Dr. Granberry describes his career as one of continual growth as a surgeon and person. An athlete himself, he was a passionate triathlete and marathon runner, and equally devoted to family life.  He’s found on most weekends enjoying the beach with his wife, children, and grandchildren, and enjoying a good glass of wine.   Not surprisingly, Dr. Granberry is just as skilled with his hands outside the OR, and builds his own computers, stereo amplifiers, and works with wood in his free time.
